The apprenticeship runs for 15 months, plus a gateway and end-point assessment (EPA). This includes off-the-job training, live projects, and capstone work to ensure real-world application of learning.

AI apprenticeships are fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy for large employers (£3 million+ annual payroll). For SMEs, the government co-invests 95% of training costs. There is never a cost to the apprentice.
You earn four core qualifications: (1) AI & Automation Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard, (2) CMI Level 5 Award in Management & Leadership, (3) Data Literacy & Governance, and (4) AI Ethics & Responsible Leadership. All are portable and recognised across UK employers.
