A Senior People Professional is the in-house expert in people, work and change. They champion the people agenda to create working environments and cultures that help get the best out of people, delivering great organisational outcomes.”

The Senior People Professional Apprenticeship, as the name suggests, is designed for those typically in senior leadership positions rather than those working towards those roles. However, you will be eligible if you’re in a senior generalist HR or Learning & Development role or more specialist Organisational Development, Change Management, Employee Experience or Talent role. From what we know of the industry, this standard seems to reflect that the People Profession is a broad one with many different aspects.

Details Of The Programme

The Senior People Professional apprenticeship usually takes around 2-3 years to complete during which you will participate in training, development and on-going review activities. These typically include

The End Point Assessment Process

Assessment Gateway

At the assessment gateway, your employer will make the decision that you are ready to undertake the end-point assessment.
Before going forward for endpoint assessment, you must have:

The employer must be content that the apprentice is working at or above the level of the occupational standard.
Apprentices must have achieved English and mathematics at Level 2.
Apprentices must submit a portfolio of evidence to their EPAO, which will underpin the professional discussion end-point assessment method.
The EPAO should sign off the work-based project proposal’s title and scope to confirm its suitability at the gateway.

End Point Assessment

Following successful completion of the Gateway, you will proceed to endpoint assessment (EPA).
The EPA is undertaken by an independent assessment organisation.
The End Point assessment components are:

Assessment method 1: Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
Assessment method 2: Project proposal, presentation and questioning.

All components of the endpoint assessment must be completed and an endpoint assessment grade will be determined by the endpoint assessor.
