1-Day Workshop AI & Digital

Copilot Studio training that ships real agents.

A practical one day workshop for teams with Microsoft 365. Every learner designs, builds and publishes a working Copilot Studio agent, on your data, your tenant (or our sandbox), your dates.

What your team will leave with

From Copilot licences to published agents.

Six concrete capability shifts, tied to behaviour change, not handouts. All of it covered in the one day.

01 · Agents vs Copilot chat

What Copilot Studio actually adds, and which of your workflows genuinely need an agent, most do not.

02 · Grounding

Connect an agent to your own knowledge, SharePoint, websites and uploaded files, so it answers from your truth, not the open internet.

03 · Topics, triggers and actions

Design conversations that branch, capture data and act, not just chat.

04 · Power Automate handoffs

Make the agent do real work, raise tickets, update lists, send approvals.

05 · Testing and guardrails

Test panels, escalation to a human, content moderation settings, and what to check before anyone else touches it.

06 · Publish and govern

Deploy to Teams and web, Microsoft Purview controls, licensing and message credits explained in plain English.

How the day flows

Nine to five, no filler.

Make it tangible

The kind of agents you will build.

We scope each cohort's builds on the discovery call, against your real workflows. These three come up most often.

IT ticket triage agent

Resolves password, access and how-do-I questions on the spot, grounded in your IT knowledge base, and raises the genuine incidents in your service desk via Power Automate.

HR onboarding agent

Answers people questions from your own policy documents, walks new starters through their first weeks, and hands off to HR the moment it should.

Finance approvals agent

Chases missing purchase order details, checks requests against policy, and pushes clean approvals into an automated flow.

Who it's for

The person tasked with making Copilot pay.

✓ Right fit if

You're a Microsoft 365 admin, operations lead, IT generalist or internal "Copilot champion". Anyone tasked with making Copilot pay for itself.

× Not the right fit if

You're a developer who wants pro-code agents, that's Azure AI Foundry territory. Or you're a senior leader who wants strategy: take our AI for Leaders programme or the AI Leadership Units instead.

The format

One day, one published agent each.

The workshop runs as a closed cohort on your dates, with up to 12 delegates. We build in your tenant where licensing allows, or in our sandbox where it doesn't, so the agents your team publishes are real, not throwaway lab exercises.

1-Day Workshop

Copilot Studio in a day.

Design, build and publish a working agent.

  • Agents vs Copilot chat: when an agent is worth building at all
  • Grounding in SharePoint, websites and uploaded files
  • Topics, triggers and actions: conversations that branch, capture data and act
  • Power Automate handoffs: tickets, lists, approvals
  • Test panels, human escalation and content moderation settings
  • Publish to Teams and web · Purview, licensing and message credits in plain English
By 5pm: one published Copilot Studio agent per learner, grounded in your own content, with a Power Automate action wired in.
Beyond the day

Need more than a day?

Two routes when one day won't cover it.

  • Build AI Agents: our tool-agnostic 2-day deep dive, multi-agent orchestration, integrations and governance beyond the Microsoft stack
  • Microsoft Copilot apprenticeship: the levy-funded route, ST1512 Level 4, 12 to 15 months, up to five qualifications
  • Most clients run this workshop first, then enrol their builders on the apprenticeship
Not sure? Book a discovery call and we'll map the right route in 15 minutes.

Sensible questions

Frequently asked.

Do we need Copilot Studio licences before the day?

No, TESS provides sandbox access for the workshop. If you run it in your own tenant we will tell you exactly what licensing you need on the discovery call, in plain English, including message credits.

How does this compare to Microsoft's official MS-4022 or PL-7008 courses?

It covers the same ground, then goes further: your team builds on your real workflows and leaves with a published agent, not a completed lab.

Does this need coding?

No. Copilot Studio is a no-code builder. Anyone comfortable with Excel formulas or Power Automate is more than enough.

What does it cost?

Every cohort is priced individually, based on group size and delivery mode (live online or in-person). Book a 15-minute discovery call and we will give you a concrete figure within 24 hours.

Is this levy-funded?

Workshops on their own are typically self-funded. If you commission this alongside an ST1512 apprenticeship cohort or the AI leadership units, the workshop can usually be structured into the cohort spend. Talk to us and we'll structure it.

Where does this sit alongside the Microsoft Copilot apprenticeship?

The workshop is the fast on-ramp: agents in production within weeks. The Microsoft Copilot edition of the Level 4 apprenticeship is the durable route, 12 to 15 months, levy-funded, up to five qualifications including Microsoft AB-730. Most clients start with the workshop and enrol the builders on the apprenticeship.

How many delegates, and how quickly can we run it?

Up to 12 per cohort, with 6–8 the sweet spot for per-learner outcomes. Typically 2–4 weeks from enquiry to delivery, and same-week delivery is sometimes possible for urgent cohorts.
