How long does CIPD Level 3 take?

Typically 9-12 months. You study at your own pace, balancing work and personal commitments. All assessment is via assignment submission—no time-pressured exams.

Do I need HR experience to enrol?

No formal HR qualifications are needed. An interest in people management is sufficient. Level 3 is the entry point to the CIPD pathway, designed for career changers and those new to HR. We assess every applicant individually.

What CIPD membership do I get?

During study: CIPD Student Member. On completion: CIPD Foundation Member (Fdn MCIPD). Foundation membership is for life and gives access to networks, CPD resources, job boards, and professional support. You can upgrade to Associate (Level 5) or Chartered (Level 7) later.

Can I progress to Level 5 after Level 3?

Yes. Level 3 is the foundation. Many learners progress to Level 5 Associate Diploma after 1-2 years of post-Level 3 experience. We offer progression support and can advise you on timing.

Can I upgrade my tier mid-course?

Yes, you can upgrade from Bronze to Silver or Gold at any point. We'll calculate the difference and adjust your agreement. Many learners start with Bronze and upgrade once they realise the value of 1:1 support.
