First, the AI for Senior Leaders route: the full Level 4 AI and Automation Practitioner apprenticeship (ST1512), levy-funded over 15 months, with a CMI Level 7 Certificate included by TESS alongside it (Strategic Management and Leadership Practice, or Leadership Coaching and Mentoring). Second, for leaders who want a shorter commitment, the three Skills England AI Leadership units at Level 5 (AU0009 AI Strategy and Opportunity, AU0010 AI Adoption, Procurement and Governance, AU0011 AI Delivery and Organisational Transformation), each 30+ guided learning hours, £750 per learner, fully funded and with no end-point assessment. TESS Group delivers both.
Levy funding for the Senior Leader Level 7 apprenticeship has been removed, and standalone Level 7 qualifications cost thousands per head. Senior leadership development isn't going anywhere, but the way you fund it has to change.
The good news: there is a strong, funded option for the same leaders.
